I've been following Dusty Baker's case, and one thing that's been on my mind is the community where this happened. Hazelwood in Portland seems like a neighborhood where people should feel safe, yet tragic events like this remind us of the troubling realities many communities face. It's devastating that someone has lost their life, and from what I've read, there hasn't been much progress in the investigation, at least publicly.
I truly hope the authorities are working diligently behind the scenes to find answers for Dusty's family and friends. They deserve closure and justice for what happened to him. It's also concerning to think about the impact on the local community—how people cope and continue to feel safe in their own neighborhoods after something so awful occurs.
Has anyone heard anything more about how the community has been reacting or if there’s been any effort to increase safety measures around Hazelwood? I'm really hoping this case sees some breakthroughs soon.

It’s curious to me, considering the location, if there might have been any surveillance cameras nearby that could help the investigation. Businesses or traffic cameras might have captured something that could be useful. It's a bit surprising that there still aren't any leads or suspects mentioned.
