I've been following the discussion about Corporal Dewey C. Shrewsbury, and I keep thinking about the importance of firearm safety, even among those who are experienced. It's just so tragic and deeply sad that something like this can happen to someone as dedicated and skilled as Corporal Shrewsbury. It makes me wonder if more training or safety protocols could be introduced to prevent such incidents, especially for those who work with firearms so regularly. My heart goes out to his family and his fellow officers. It must be incredibly difficult to lose someone in such an unexpected way, especially when you're part of a close-knit community like the police force. Does anyone know if there have been changes in protocol since this happened?
