I recently came across the case of James Ellis Fitzpatrick from Fort Gay, WV, and it got me thinking about how communities cope with loss, especially when the circumstances are so unclear. It's been over two years since his passing, and yet there seems to be so little information available about what happened. For those who knew James, this must be incredibly frustrating or confusing, not to mention deeply painful. I can't even imagine the emotional toll on friends and family who are still seeking answers. It also raises the question – what more could be done to keep the community informed and involved in unsolved cases like this one? Sometimes local news coverage fades away too quickly, and families are left in the dark without updates or anyone pushing for justice. I really hope someone is still working behind the scenes to bring closure to James’ loved ones. Has anyone heard anything recent about the investigation, or is this truly a cold case now? Thoughts and prayers to anyone who knew him and is waiting for answers.
