Hey everyone, I've been diving into the lesser-discussed elements around Ricardo Montes' tragic case and couldn't help but think about the impact on the Avondale community. Ricardo's death not only shook his family and friends but also left a chilling scar on the neighborhood. It's unsettling to imagine living in a place where such violence feels ever-present. I'm curious about how neighbors are coping and if there have been any grassroots efforts to foster more safety in areas like Avondale since then. For those local to Chicago or familiar with similar community-driven initiatives, have you seen any successful movements or changes post-2016 that focus on reducing these crimes and building stronger community ties? It's important to remember the human side of these statistics and how the loss resonates far beyond just those directly involved. My heart goes out to everyone affected, particularly Ricardo’s loved ones. It's a painful reminder of the urgency for change.
