Has anyone else noticed how often transient individuals seem to fall through the cracks when it comes to official investigations? Christensen’s case is really making me think about this issue more deeply. Being transient shouldn’t mean people stop caring. It’s sad to think of someone out there, potentially in need of help, and not having the resources they need simply because of their lifestyle. I get that it might make it more challenging for law enforcement to track movement, but isn’t that all the more reason to have better systems in place? It’s frustrating to imagine that his travel pattern between the west coast and the upper Midwest complicates things so much that we’re left with barely any details. Would love to hear if anyone knows more about how these types of cases are handled...
