I’ve been reading about the Gitchie Manitou murders, and one detail that's been haunting me is how they used the guise of being narcotics agents. Imagine the confusion and fear those kids must have felt when they realized it was all a ruse. It’s just devastating to think about how one moment of innocent fun could turn into such a nightmare. I can’t even begin to fathom what Sandra Cheskey went through or the courage it took to testify against those monsters. It’s a reminder of her resilience and the importance of standing up for justice, even in the darkest situations. My thoughts are with the families who lost their children that night. They were so young, with their whole lives ahead of them, stolen by such senseless violence.
