I recently stumbled across the case of Jason Edward Roling, and even though it's from over 40 years ago, I can't shake the feeling of sadness it brings. An innocent 8-year-old boy, his whole life ahead of him, is just gone because of gun violence. What stands out to me is the complete lack of information readily available about what happened that day at Gene Gilbert's residence. It's one thing for cases to go cold, but to have so little documentation or reporting is baffling. Does anyone know if there were any locals or witnesses who might have tried to push for answers back then? Or any local whispers that folks might remember or have heard over the years? It strikes me as incredibly tough for the family to have no closure or justice. My heart truly goes out to them. If anyone has any insights, however small, it might help shine a light on what appears to be an otherwise forgotten tragedy.
