I've been following Maria Zamora's case, and I can't shake the feeling of sadness thinking about what she endured. The fact that Gustavo Sierra didn't even attempt to flee after his horrific actions speaks volumes about his state of mind. It makes me wonder if there were any warning signs that friends or family might have picked up on. Domestic violence is such a silent struggle, and too often, victims feel trapped with nowhere to turn. Maria deserved so much more, and it’s devastating that her cries for help went unanswered until it was too late. I really hope that sharing her story can help save someone else from a similar fate. My heart truly goes out to her family and loved ones.
