Does anyone else find it strange that Phillip Perez’s disappearance didn’t seem to gather much initial media attention? I’ve been following this case, and it seems like now there’s plenty of coverage from missing persons organizations, but back in 2019, I don't recall hearing anything about it until much later. Abilene isn’t that big of a city, so it’s surprising that there wasn’t more urgency in getting the word out sooner. I wonder if there was any delay in reporting him missing to the authorities, or if it’s just a case of many things slipping under the radar back then. It's just frustrating because maybe with more media attention right from the start, someone could have remembered seeing him after work that day. It's been too long without answers for his family. What do you all think about how media coverage impacts unsolved cases?
