I've been following the Shirley Carter case for a while, and something that really sticks out to me is the whole situation with the confessions from other individuals. It's unsettling to think that there were potentially credible leads just sitting there that weren't followed up on. How does that even happen, especially in such a serious case? Shirley's family deserves answers, and it's so frustrating to think that crucial information may have been overlooked or dismissed. I can't imagine the pain and confusion the Carters must feel with the case still unsolved after all these years. It makes you wonder if those leads were thoroughly reviewed, would we be closer to knowing the truth about what really happened to Shirley? It seems like a disservice not only to her memory but also to proper justice.
