Hey everyone, I've been following the news about the tragic incident in Freeport back in 2016. It's really sad to hear about Sarah Szabo and Craig Freilinger. I've been thinking a lot about the impact on the community and their families. It must be incredibly difficult for them to process such a sudden, violent event. One thing that keeps coming to mind is how necessary it is for communities to have support systems in place for those dealing with mental health issues and domestic situations. I wonder if there were any warning signs or if anyone around them noticed something was wrong. It's so important for friends and neighbors to feel comfortable stepping in if they sense something isn't right, but I know that can be tricky. I'm just hoping that in the aftermath, the community has come together to support each other and maybe even advocate for more resources dedicated to prevention and awareness. Anyone local to Decorah have any insight on how things have been since then? I just hope there's healing in the community and that Sarah and Craig’s families find some peace.
