I've been thinking about the community vigil held for Jason A. Smith after his tragic death. It's truly touching to see how his friends, family, and neighbors gathered to honor his memory and show support for one another. I wasn't able to attend, but the photos and stories from that night were simply moving. It's apparent how beloved Jason was and how deeply his loss has affected so many.
Does anyone know if Jason's family has set up any form of memorial fund or scholarship in his name? I'd like to contribute in any way possible to help keep his memory alive. If there’re any other ways we can support his family during this difficult time, please share.

I read somewhere that the incident happened late at night, but there’s no detail about whether it was a random location or somewhere he regularly visited.
