Does anyone else feel like the whole situation with Donald Harris highlights a really disturbing aspect of this case? It's clear he got caught up in some dangerous stuff because of his debt to Rayshaun Friend, but it makes me wonder about the level of fear he must have been living with. Five years for involuntary manslaughter is no small sentence, but knowing he didn't have the gun, and was just along out of fear, adds another layer of tragedy to this whole mess. It’s tough to process how fear can push people into making such devastating choices. Also, my heart goes out to the Newman family. It’s difficult to imagine what they’re going through, having to deal with all these trial proceedings and unwrapping such a tangled web of events. The fact that Newman's life ended so abruptly and under such horrific circumstances is beyond tragic. Let’s hope there’s some sense of justice and peace at the end of all this.
