I was thinking today about how much Greg's story has affected everyone who knew him, and even those who didn't. It's so important that we remind the world of the person he was beyond the headlines. Does anyone have stories about how Greg influenced his community through his love for basketball? I heard he worked as a referee for local games, which likely means he touched a lot of young athletes' lives. I'm hoping that by sharing personal memories and stories, we can keep his memory alive and maybe even shake loose some vital information. It just seems unthinkable that someone who's played such a positive role in his community could be taken in such a senseless way. Thinking of his family and friends, and hoping peace and answers come for them soon.
