It's particularly chilling to think that just eight days before the incident, Austin James Bernhard was arrested for assaulting Amy and breaking into her place. It makes you wonder what could have been done to prevent this. Was he freed on bail too quickly, or were there red flags that law enforcement or anyone else missed? It’s incredibly frustrating to know that something might have been done to keep Mason and Amy safe. My heart truly goes out to their families and friends who have to live with this forever. Sharing strength and love with everyone affected by this senseless act.
