Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of the tragic shooting in Des Moines back in 2020, which claimed the lives of Devonte Swanks, his younger brother Malachi, and their friend Thayne Wright. One detail that's been haunting me is the silence around the trial process for the suspects. It seems odd that after over three years, there's still no substantial updates on whether justice has been served. I genuinely feel for the families who are left in limbo, trying to cope with such a huge loss and possibly not having closure yet.
Does anyone have any insight into why there's such a lack of public information on the trial? Has anyone heard if there are specific legal reasons keeping this under wraps? It’s just so frustrating not knowing if any resolution or justice has been achieved for these boys and their family.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or updates you might have.
Sincerely,

I can't stop thinking about those three young lives cut so tragically short in Des Moines. Devonte Swanks, only 19, was just starting his journey into adulthood alongside his younger brother Malachi and their friend Thayne Wright. I've been trying to wrap my head around what could lead to such a senseless act of violence. It's haunting to think of the pain their families must be enduring every single day. I hope the right justice is served for them. It's frustrating not having more information about the suspects, but maybe there's a good reason for keeping those details under wraps right now. I'm holding onto hope that there's progress being made behind the scenes. Would love to hear if anyone has any updates or thoughts on where the case might be heading.
Hey everyone,

I’ve been following the Des Moines case involving Devonte Swanks and the other young victims. I can't shake the feeling of how eerie it is that we don't have more details on the suspects. It’s frustrating not knowing who these people are, especially considering the gravity of what they’ve been charged with. I feel like understanding more about them could potentially lead to some insight on why this horrendous crime occurred in the first place.

Devonte and his brother had their whole lives ahead of them, and it breaks my heart that their families are left in the dark about so many aspects of the case. Has anyone heard any updates or found any more information on the suspects’ identities or backgrounds? Also, curious if there's been any news on whether the case is moving forward in the courts. Would love to get any info or thoughts from others who are following this.

Thinking of the families and hoping justice is served soon.
