I keep thinking about the role of Joshua's job and how it might have influenced everything that led up to this awful event. It's just hard to even fathom that someone so respected in the law enforcement community could carry such darkness within. Law enforcement officers are often seen as protectors, yet here we have a case where Joshua was supposed to be someone who shielded others from harm, and he ended up causing so much pain. You have to wonder about the resources available to officers dealing with personal problems and mental health issues. Was there no support system in place where he could talk about his struggles before it reached this point? My thoughts are constantly with Kelly's loved ones and the family members grappling with the aftermath. It's just all so overwhelming.
