I recently came across Brad Hancock's case again, and it's made me reflect on community safety at music events. It's devastating to think that a night of music and camaraderie could end in such tragedy. The fact that Brad was just trying to protect his brother and de-escalate the situation speaks volumes about his character. There's been a lot of discussion about whether venues should have tighter security measures or even on-site counselors to defuse tensions before they escalate. It's something that's definitely worth considering. I also feel for those in Brad’s band and the wider music community who knew him. Losing someone in such a violent manner leaves a permanent scar. I hope we can all work together to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. Sending strength to Brad's family, especially his fiancée and young son.
