I've been thinking a lot about James E. Hooks and the tragic situation of his murder. What really stands out to me is the awful difficulty the investigators are facing with such a lack of witnesses or concrete leads. It's just mind-boggling and incredibly frustrating to think about how many families, like James' family, are left without answers. Chicago seemed especially chaotic in 2016, with so many lives lost to this senseless violence, but it must be incredibly tough for the Hooks family to see the case stall. I can't imagine what it feels like to know that justice is still out there, elusive. I truly hope that with time, someone will come forward with the critical information needed to solve this case. James deserves that, and his family deserves peace. My thoughts are with everyone affected. ?
