Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon some lesser-known facts about the heartbreaking Donna Lee Bakery murders that I haven't seen discussed much here or elsewhere. Did anyone else know that Michael P. Kron, one of the victims, was actually Gary Schrager’s uncle by marriage? I find it incredibly disturbing and sad to think that family ties couldn’t prevent such unimaginable violence. It really makes me wonder about the relationship dynamics that might have been at play behind the scenes. It seems that recognition was one of the key factors that led to such a horrific end for all involved. I often think about the Salerni family, especially since the bakery was named after John Salerni's daughter, Donna Lee. Such a beautiful gesture turned into a tragic piece of history. My heart goes out to all the families affected by this senseless act. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on how these family connections may have influenced Schrager’s decisions—or if you think it was just purely opportunistic and self-serving. Could they have been close? Did Schrager's fear of Michael identifying him really drive him to this extent? So many questions remain for me.
