I've been following the discussions about Chief DeCarlo's death, and it's clear how deeply he impacted the Stamford community, both as a leader and as a person. What strikes me the most is the legacy of safety he left behind. Having Stamford recognized as one of the safest cities under his leadership is no small feat. It really makes me wonder about the immense pressures that come with such responsibility. We often celebrate the successes without fully understanding the burdens these achievements might carry for the individuals behind them. It's crucial for us to remember that even those who seem strong and unwavering might be facing battles we can’t always see. I'm holding his family and loved ones in my thoughts, hoping they find solace in the community's support and the fond memories shared by all who knew him.
