I've been closely following the case of Maxine Gooden, and one aspect that's been on my mind is the shock wave this tragedy must have sent through her family, especially her five kids. I can't even begin to imagine the void left by losing a mother in such a senseless act of violence. It's comforting to know the community and law enforcement took swift action to bring those responsible to justice, but that doesn't erase the pain for her loved ones. With Morris Moore pleading guilty and the others serving time for firearm charges, does anyone else feel like justice is only partially served here? I hope Maxine's family finds some peace knowing the case wasn't forgotten, but how do they even begin to heal from something like this? Sending my thoughts to everyone impacted by this devastating incident.
