I've been following the Cristobal Hernandez case since it happened, and it's just so deeply upsetting. Juggling emotions here—a life lost over what seems like a dispute turned deadly. I can’t help but think about Cristobal’s family and how they must feel having someone they loved taken so violently. It’s shocking how Rivas entered the U.S. multiple times after deportations. From what we know, the whole encounter just feels like it could have been avoided somehow. I can't stop wondering about those missing witness testimonies—just critical pieces of the puzzle that might have painted the whole picture more clearly. The fact that the jury was hung is also so puzzling, maybe those missing voices could have changed things. My heart goes out to Hernandez's family and friends who have had to endure this unimaginable loss.
