I keep thinking about those kids who witnessed the aftermath at The Snack Shop that morning. It’s so sad to imagine such young children having to see bullet holes and hear the whispers about what happened. They're growing up in a world where they’ve already seen too much tragedy, and that breaks my heart. Seeing evidence of violence right there in their community can't be easy for them or their families. It's got to be affecting everyone in that neighborhood. It’s so important for the community to support each other through times like this and for authorities to find justice for Jawuan to help heal the wounds left by this senseless act. Knowing these kids might feel unsafe even in their own neighborhood is incredibly unsettling. What can we do to help bring more peace to areas like this? I really hope some answers come soon, not just for Jawuan's family, but for everyone in Bridgeport dealing with the constant violence.
