I can't stop thinking about how devastating this must have been for the O'Dell family, especially their mother. To come home and find your son like that, believing it's one tragic situation only to find out it's something else entirely… I can't even imagine how overwhelming that realization must have been. It's a tragic pivot point that turned their world upside down. Also, it's strange how in cases like these, family conflicts sometimes simmer under the surface until something snaps. I wonder if the community had any idea of the tension between the brothers before this awful event took place. Sending love to all who are connected to Richard and hope his memory brings them some comfort, even amidst this unimaginable pain.
