I’ve been following the case of Margaret Kokoth and the more I read, the more my heart goes out to their family. This is such a tragic incident, especially considering the troubling reports about Albert’s mental health. It’s hard not to feel for their daughter, who apparently had concerns about her mom’s safety for some time. Living with the fear that something might go wrong and then having it actually happen in such a terrible way must be unimaginably painful. The comment Albert allegedly made about giving the local news something to write about is so disturbing and makes me question what was really going on in his mind at that moment. I really hope the mental health evaluations provide some clarity, not only for the sake of the legal proceedings but to help the family understand why this happened. Sending my thoughts to everyone affected as they navigate this difficult time.
