I wanted to share a thought about the candlelight vigil held for Kevan. It's always touching to see a community come together like that, but it makes me wonder about the longer-term impact these tragic events have on neighborhoods. The outpouring of love and support is a powerful reminder that someone cared deeply for Kevan, and despite the grim circumstances, there's a sense of unity among those who gathered. I find comfort in knowing that his brother, Oscar, is channeling his grief into something positive by mentoring young people. It’s amazing how, even in the shadow of such a loss, people like Oscar find the strength to inspire and lead. Hopefully, his efforts, combined with the community’s support, can prevent more incidents like this from happening. Does anyone else have thoughts on how communities can effectively support each other in the aftermath of such violence? It’s clear that we need more than just vigils—while beautiful, they mark just the beginning of what needs to be a sustained effort for change. I hope the investigations bring the Bonilla family some peace eventually, but in the meantime, what can we do to foster a safer environment?
