I’ve been following the case of Trevor Figueroa, and one thing that I keep thinking about is the role that surveillance footage has played in piecing together what happened that terrible night. It’s chilling to imagine those final moments and how they were captured on camera. It was crucial in identifying the suspects and hopefully bringing some measure of justice for Trevor’s family. The footage showing Soto and Leon retrieving firearms and then firing them is both a significant and tragic piece of evidence. It's a reminder of how quickly things can escalate and change lives forever. I can't even begin to understand the pain Trevor's family must be going through, especially as they see these images during the ongoing court proceedings. My heart goes out to them; it's a heavy burden to carry for sure. And Laboy still being out there is unsettling. It must be tough for the family, knowing justice isn't fully served yet. I really hope he’s found soon, so the family can have a bit more closure, if that's even possible in such heartbreaking circumstances.
