Attended the vigil for Anthony Porter last night. I didn't know him personally, but hearing his friends and family talk about how much he touched their lives was truly moving. It's so devastating that such a vibrant young life was cut short. Everyone there shared stories of his humor and kindness, and how he was always there when someone needed help.
Was wondering if anyone has more info on the area where the incident happened? I’m not from New Haven but have heard that Shepard Street has had issues before. Is this area known for violence, or was this a totally random act? It’s terrifying to think such violence can happen so unexpectedly. Hoping and praying that the investigation finds those responsible soon and that the family gets the justice they deserve. If anyone has insights or updates, please share. Let’s keep talking and keep this case in the public eye.
I've been following Anthony's case closely, and something that stands out to me is the lack of suspect information even after several months. The community in that area must be on edge, knowing that whoever did this is still out there. It's so important for anyone with information, no matter how small it might seem, to step up and help bring some peace to Anthony's family. I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through, losing someone so young and full of potential. It must be incredibly difficult for his loved ones, waiting and hoping for some progress in the investigation. Has anyone else been thinking about the location of where Anthony Porter was shot? It's so close to the Hamden town line, and I've been wondering if that might play into why the investigation seems to be taking a while. Could jurisdictional issues be slowing things down? It’s just so frustrating to see there’s still been no arrests or suspects identified.
I can’t even begin to imagine what Anthony’s family must be going through right now. New Haven can be a tight-knit community, and I hope someone with information finds it in their heart to come forward. This young man deserves justice.
