Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about how communities respond after losing someone like Miguel Bahena. It's gut-wrenching to see young lives cut short during these spikes in violence. What truly caught my eye was how his friends and community paid tributes online with candle illuminations. It’s poignant to see how people rally together to keep the memory of loved ones alive amidst such tragedies. For many of these communities, making a public statement like this is a way to show solidarity and support for the grieving families. It makes me wonder how we, as individuals far removed from the direct impact of these tragedies, can better support these communities dealing with the aftermath. Does anyone have any insight or personal experiences with supporting similar community efforts? Would love to hear how these acts of collective remembrance have helped those involved. ? Keeping Miguel and all victims of that weekend in our thoughts. ?
