I've been doing some reading on the tragic case of Lee Martin and it just got me thinking about the impact on his family and the community. It’s absolutely devastating to see families torn apart by such senseless violence. I wonder how they are coping with the loss, especially with the murder being part of that horrific wave of violence in 2016. I hope they've received the support and resources they need to heal. It breaks my heart to see communities like Auburn Gresham caught in this cycle of violence. It seems like it's hard to even imagine what the path forward looks like with so many systemic issues at play. I'm curious if there might be any community programs or initiatives in place now, or if those have shown any positive outcomes since 2016. It would be great to hear if anyone has updates or knows about any efforts that have been effective in reducing violence in neighborhoods with similar challenges. If anyone has insight into how the community has been since or ways they are trying to uplift the area, please share! We all need to be part of the conversation to seek and support meaningful change.
