Just learned about the tragic event involving Deputy Sheriff Casto C. Robertson. I can’t stop thinking about how Deputy Robertson, a dedicated veteran and public servant, was taken from his family in such a senseless act of violence. It’s deeply concerning how a situation can escalate so quickly, especially with someone daring enough to conceal a weapon even while in custody. It really makes you think about the dangers our law enforcement officers face every day, even in seemingly straightforward situations. My thoughts are with Deputy Robertson’s family and colleagues who undoubtedly are still feeling this loss. If anyone has more historical context on law enforcement procedures from that era or similar cases, I’d be interested in learning more.
