Hey everyone,
It's taken me some time to process the details of the Staton Jewelry Store case, and something that really struck me was the role Ruth Staton played in the aftermath. Losing both a husband and a daughter in such a horrific manner is unfathomable. I can’t imagine the strength it took for her to face each day after that tragic event unfolded.
Witnessing Perry's execution must have been incredibly complicated for her. There's this persistent narrative that justice brings closure, but I wonder how true that is for Ruth. It seems like a lonely journey of navigating grief while dealing with public attention on such a personal tragedy.
If anyone here has read interviews or statements from Ruth or has insights on how she coped through all this, I'd appreciate it if you could share. Understanding her journey could really change the way we perceive the long-term effects of these crimes on the families left behind.
Sending thoughts to all those who were affected by this crime.
Stay safe,

Has anyone else felt chills thinking about how long the planning for this crime took? Visiting the jewelry store beforehand and even bringing wigs to disguise themselves shows a level of premeditation that’s hard to wrap your mind around. It’s gut-wrenching to think about Kenneth and Suzanne's last moments in a place that should have been safe for them. My heart goes out to Ruth Staton and the rest of her family. I can’t imagine the pain of knowing how meticulously Perry and Anderson plotted this. It’s both terrifying and sad that such callousness exists. Does anyone else feel unsettled by how calculated this all was?
Does anyone else feel absolutely sickened by how cold-blooded this all was? I just can't wrap my head around how Perry and Anderson could carry out such a meticulously planned robbery and then end it in such a brutal fashion. The fact that they went to the extent of using wigs and surveying the store beforehand shows just how premeditated this was. My heart truly goes out to Ruth Staton and the other family members who had to sit through the trials and relive the horror of what happened to their loved ones. I can't even imagine the pain of losing your family in such a cruel way and then having to wait nearly two decades for any semblance of justice. How do you ever heal from something like that?
