Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about sweet little Taylor, Shelly’s youngest, who was just 3 years old. My heart goes out to all the parents out there who feel this hit close to home. Trying to wrap my head around how someone could target such innocence is impossible. It seemed like Taylor was always smiling, full of life and wonder. That age where everything is still magical, you know?
The community has tried its best to heal, but these kind of wounds run deep. It’s important we keep their memories alive, especially the kids, like Taylor. Seeing their faces in the old community photos brings a bittersweet reminder of what was lost. Let’s keep lifting Shelly and the kids up in our thoughts, and continue supporting one another. It’s what Taylor would have wanted, for sure.
Stay kind, everyone.
Has anyone else been reflecting on Misty Erwin's ambitious dreams and how incredible her potential was? It's just so upsetting knowing she had her whole life in front of her. I heard she was really into art and had aspirations of becoming a designer. I can't imagine the pain her family feels, knowing what was taken from her at just 20. I think it’s crucial we remember these personal details about the victims, not just the tragic way they left us. They were vibrant individuals with futures waiting to be explored. Sending love and strength to everyone who knew Misty and all the victims personally. Let’s keep sharing their stories and keeping their legacies alive.
Wow, it's hard to wrap my mind around such a tragic series of events. One thing that always strikes me about the Sorg case is how unpredictable life can be, and how quickly it can change in just a moment. I keep thinking about Misty Erwin, who was just 20 and seemed to have her whole life ahead of her. It makes me wonder what amazing things she could have accomplished had she had the chance. I read she was deeply involved in community activities and had aspirations that could have taken her to some incredible places. Misty’s loss is not just a loss for her family, but for all of us who will never get to see what her potential might have been. It’s comforting to know that the community continues to honor their memories and that all five victims are remembered not just for how they died, but for how they lived and touched those around them. Would love to hear your thoughts or memories if you knew her or any of the victims.
