I came across this case a few days ago and can't stop thinking about it. This small community of Monticello must have been rocked by Eric Thompson's tragic death. As someone who's followed a few trials, I'm curious about how the self-defense aspect played into this case during the trial. I really feel for Eric's family—having to sit through such a trial must have been incredibly challenging.
