Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the tragic case of Helen Froehlich and Frank Simpson, and something that really stood out to me was the issue with the dogs. It’s horrifying to think someone could be so brutal, not only taking the lives of two innocent people but also those of the pets. Those poor dogs, shot in Helen's bedroom— it adds an even more disturbing layer to this whole tragedy.
It's important to recognize how violence often extends beyond people and affects all living creatures in a household. Pets are family too, and their loss is felt deeply by people who loved Helen and Frank. Animal cruelty often goes hand-in-hand with other violent crimes, and it’s something that needs more focus in criminal investigations and prevention.
I can’t even begin to imagine what Helen’s family and friends are going through, not only losing her and Frank in such a horrifying way but also dealing with the additional pain caused by the loss of the dogs. Sending my thoughts to all who were close to them.
If there's any more recent info about similar red flags to look out for in people that could prevent tragedies like this, please share.
Stay safe and be kind to all creatures,

I've been following the shocking case of Helen Froehlich and Frank Simpson, and my heart goes out to their families during this incredibly difficult time. While most of the discussions have focused on the tragic events themselves, I've been thinking a lot about Helen's relationship with her stepson, Glen Froehlich.
From what I've gathered, it sounds like there were significant tensions between Glen and his father and stepmother well before the horrific incident. It makes me wonder about the dynamics within their family, especially considering the altercation two weeks prior. Was there any attempt to address the conflict through family mediation or counseling? I know hindsight is 20/20, and it's not about placing blame on the victims, but it breaks my heart to think that there might have been signs or opportunities for intervention that could have prevented such a devastating outcome.
Tragedies like this remind me of the importance of supporting and guiding individuals who might be going through difficult emotional or mental struggles, in hopes of preventing acts of violence. My thoughts and prayers are continuing to stay with those affected by this awful event.
Has anyone else been thinking about the tragic loss of Helen and Frank's pets in this case? It's devastating to think that the two dogs, who were likely just trying to protect Helen, also lost their lives that day. Pets become such an integral part of a family, and I can only imagine the additional layer of grief this might add for the family and friends of the victims. I hope the community rallied around them to offer support in such a profoundly difficult time. It's tragic to see violence affect not just human lives, but the innocent animals who were caught in the crossfire. My thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved Helen, Frank, and those two loyal dogs.
