I'm really in disbelief over the tragedy involving the Bivens family. Just thinking about Janette's life and how deeply she impacted our community makes this all the more difficult to comprehend. I've heard she was such a kind soul who made everyone feel welcome, especially during her years at Guy Perkins School. It’s especially troubling to try and piece together what could have led to this situation. I can’t imagine what Janette’s friends and family, especially those little ones who were present, are going through right now. I know the church community at New Home Missionary Baptist must be devastated too; Janette was practically a fixture there. Let's hope that justice is served, and that the investigation provides some clear answers soon. It's hard to fathom the pain that those close to the Bivens are enduring, but I hope they know the community stands with them.
