Did anyone else hear about the community forum held after Zack Geans' murder? I read that many neighbors and local residents attended to voice their concerns about the surge in gun violence in Stuttgart. It's really powerful to see so many people coming together in support of the Geans family and working towards a safer community. These meetings can be such an important step for healing and change. I'm hopeful that the increased focus on safety measures and community support can prevent tragedies like this from happening again. It must be incredibly tough for the Geans family to endure not one but two heartbreaks in such a short span. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

I’ve been thinking about the sentencing of Chyvontae Powell. While he's now serving time, it still feels like the community is trapped in a cycle of fear and loss.
