Hey everyone,
I've been following the Hageness case for a while now and something that's been sticking out to me is the role of juror misconduct in the initial trial. It's rare that a case gets a shake-up like that, and it makes me wonder how often these things slip under the radar in other cases. The fact that this led to a mistrial and changed Elizabeth's conviction from murder to manslaughter is pretty significant. It must have been so difficult for Brian's family to deal with the uncertainty of the justice process on top of their loss.
I can't imagine the rollercoaster of emotions that Brian's children must have gone through with the criminal trial and now with the ongoing wrongful death lawsuit. These legal proceedings have a way of stretching out grief and making it so public. Just hoping they're finding some kind of support as they try to seek answers and accountability.
Does anyone else have thoughts on how juror misconduct might impact cases like this? Or perhaps have seen similar situations play out in other cases? Would love to hear your insights.
