Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Deante Smith case, and something that truly stands out is how tragic it is for his little daughter. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like for his family knowing she’ll grow up without her dad. The fact that she was in his arms when it happened is just heart-wrenching. It feels like such an avoidable tragedy, especially with everything that happened after McGee was initially detained. It's infuriating that systemic failures can lead to such outcomes. I hope the family gets the justice they’re seeking and some peace in a situation that feels like it’s fallen through the cracks too many times before. Let's just hope this case brings about some real changes. My thoughts are with those who loved Deante.
