It's been over two years, and the pain the Simmons family must be feeling is beyond words. I can't imagine how they cope with both the loss and the ongoing legal proceedings. I recently read about how cases like this, when family is involved, often get delayed due to assessments around the suspect's mental fitness. What a complicated layer to an already devastating situation. Can anyone share insights from similar cases where delays happened due to mental fitness assessments? How does this impact the families involved? I hope the surviving family members are getting the support and answers they need to eventually find some sense of closure.

Does anyone else find it strange how the legal proceedings in this case keep getting delayed? I really feel for Richard Simmons Jr., losing his wife and brother in such a devastating way and now having to wait so long for closure. I can't imagine the pain he must consistently be enduring. It seems like every few months there's another reason to push the trial further, like the motion about Samuel's fitness to stand trial. I know the justice system has to be thorough, but it feels like justice is moving at a snail's pace. Has anyone else noticed this pattern in other cases? How do families typically cope with such delays in seeking justice for their loved ones?

Hey everyone, I've been following the Simmons case from Arkansas and can't stop thinking about Richard Simmons Jr. It must be incredibly tough to lose both his wife and brother to such a horrendous act and then have to deal with his own injuries, both physical and emotional. I'm trying to wrap my head around how someone copes with something like this, especially knowing that his own son is the suspect. Given that the legal proceedings have been delayed due to concerns about Samuel's mental fitness, I wonder how Richard is managing in the meantime. It's not just about healing from his wounds but also processing such a surreal situation. If anyone knows more about how he's coping or if the community has been supporting him through this nightmare, I'd love to hear about it. Keeping all the families in my thoughts.
