It's so hard to wrap my head around the whole situation with Rachel Hemphill's case. What's been really troubling me is trying to understand how someone can accidentally discharge a weapon on shaky stairs. I mean, wouldn't any responsible gun owner keep their finger off the trigger unless they're actually ready to shoot? Plus, if the stairs were really that shaky, wouldn't you be extra cautious, especially knowing you have a dangerous item in your hand? My heart goes out to Rachel's family and friends—they must be going through so much trying to make sense of all this. I hope justice is served and they eventually find some peace. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how plausible this kind of accident might be, or if anyone has more insights into gun handling and safety.
