I’ve been following the tragic story of Lawrence and Deborah Wright, and I find myself thinking about Deuntray Lewis, the 15-year-old charged with their murder. I can't wrap my head around how someone so young could be involved in something this horrific. It makes me wonder what led to this moment. What in his life might have contributed to this, and were there any signs or interventions that could have changed the outcome? My heart goes out to the Wright family for their immeasurable loss, and I also think about Deuntray's family, who must be grappling with their lives being flipped upside down too. This case makes me think hard about the wider issues at play, like what we can do as a community to support at-risk youth before it's too late. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect?
