I’ve been thinking a lot about Angie’s passion for working with children. It really hit home for me when I read about her career journey from studying education and art to her roles at places like Carter’s and J.C. Penney before finally finding her spot at Von Maur. It's clear she had a nurturing spirit, not just from her professional life but also from how she would lovingly shower her nieces, nephew, and her fiancé Greg’s daughter with gifts. It makes me so sad to think about how many more lives she could have touched with her kindness and generosity. It’s truly a loss for her family and community alike. How are others who knew her finding ways to honor that part of her legacy? Maybe a scholarship fund for educational pursuits or something similar? I'd love to hear how her family and friends are keeping her memory alive in ways that reflect her passions.
I was just reading about Angie Schuster and can't help but feel for Greg O'Neil, her fiancé. Moving in together should be such a joyful time, full of promise and plans for the future, not a time marked by horror and loss. I can't imagine the crushing shock of losing someone you love in such a violent and public way. It feels like the entire future they envisioned together was suddenly ripped away. Greg must have so many complicated emotions to work through, especially as he tries to support his daughter, who lost someone she'd come to know and love. If anyone here is local to Omaha, do you know if there are any support networks that stepped in for the families affected? It seems like community support would be so essential in helping everyone try to heal from this.
