Hi everyone, I've been reading about the tragic case of Officer John C. Walker, and I can't shake this unsettling feeling about the role of undercover work in law enforcement. Knowing that Officer Walker was out there, risking his life in an incredibly dangerous environment, speaks volumes about his dedication. It's a sobering reminder of the layers of danger these officers face regularly. I just can't help but ask myself, how much has the process for undercover operations changed since the late 70s? Surely, they've become safer, but does anyone have insights or thoughts on how undercover agents might be better protected today? This incident wasn't just a loss for his family but for the entire community. My heart goes out to them. Always appreciate the thoughtful discussions here. ??
