It’s chilling to think about those final moments at El Grande Market. Fred Gee was there, probably just wrapping up the day’s work, planning to go home like any other day. I can’t imagine the fear and chaos in those last moments for Fred, his uncle Zewan Huang, and Raymond Arriola. The fact that a teenager committed this crime makes it even more unsettling. Were there underlying issues that drove Soto to take such drastic actions? I understand that his sentence was reduced due to his age, but it doesn’t make the loss any easier for the victims’ families. Fred, Zewan, and Raymond deserved to live their lives fully, and nothing will bring them back. My heart goes out to their families who continue to live with the aftermath of this tragedy. Does anyone know if there's been any continued contact between the victims' families and the authorities? I hope they’ve been able to find some semblance of peace over the years.
