Has anyone else looked into the community impact these crimes had at the time? I recently stumbled across some old newspaper clippings mentioning how terrified people in Tucson were after the horrific events at the Firefighters' Union Hall. I can't even begin to imagine how devastating it must have been, not only for the families of Judy Bell and the others but for the whole community. It seemed like an escalation in violence with local businesses and residents feeling on edge. Did any fellow members living in Tucson at the time have firsthand experiences or stories about the local vibe and how people coped with this fear? It feels important to remember how these tragedies create ripples that affect so many lives.
