I’ve been following the case of Eodis "Tre" Harris III, and something that intrigues me is the activity on his Facebook account. Nearly two months after he vanished, someone accessed it from an IP address in Corpus Christi and changed the password. The question is, who’s behind it and what’s their motive? Could it be someone trying to cover their tracks, or maybe someone who found his login details and didn’t even realize the implications? The fact that it's from Corpus Christi is interesting—it's quite a distance from where any other evidence was found. Maybe he connected with someone from that area who might know something? It's so frustrating that this lead hasn’t turned up anything concrete, at least that we know of. Anyone else have thoughts on why his FB account would be messed with so long after?
I’ve been following Tre Harris's case from day one, and one thing I just can’t wrap my head around is the Facebook account activity. I mean, two months after Tre vanished, someone accessed his Facebook and changed the password from an IP address in Corpus Christi? That’s way out of the area he was last seen. It feels like such a big clue but has it led anywhere? Why would someone go through the trouble of accessing his account without leaving any other trace or message? It’s almost as if someone’s taunting the investigators or maybe it’s just a complete red herring. Does anyone here have any experience or knowledge about digital forensics that could shed some light on what investigators might be able to do with this info? It's been two long years and this detail still keeps me up at night, wondering if there’s more to it than meets the eye. Thoughts?
