Has anyone else been following Lupe Calle Peralta's case closely? I can't get over how these coyote networks gamble with people's lives. It's troubling that Lupe had all arrangements supposedly handled to avoid the desert, yet circumstances pushed her into the most dangerous path anyway. It makes me wonder how often these smugglers change plans last minute and how many other migrants find themselves in similar predicaments because they have no other options or information. The whole system feels like it's set up to fail these individuals who are just trying to find a safer life. What can actually be done to hold these coyotes accountable and prevent more tragedies like Lupe's?

I’m really curious to understand more about the information networks that help families find missing migrants like Lupe. It seems like there’s such a daunting number of cases, especially in areas like Sierra Blanca, Texas. I wonder which organizations are genuinely effective and what kind of resources or technology they might use in these searches. With Lupe’s case, given her last known location was communicated to her family, wouldn’t there be a better way to narrow down her possible whereabouts using that data? It’s so troubling that families also have to face scammers during such a difficult time. If anyone here has insight or connections to reliable organizations, it would be great to hear more about what’s being done to tackle these kinds of cases.
