I've been following the tragic case of Linthotage Anthony Manoj Fernando's murder, and it deeply saddens me to think about the kind of fear that must be gripping the other convenience store workers in the area. It's alarming to learn that all five stores managed by the same supervisor have been targeted in such a short timeframe. I just keep thinking about Linthotage's experience—having moved so far from home only to find himself in such a vulnerable situation. It's hard not to wonder about the pressures the clerks are facing now, knowing there's a serious threat on the loose. I hope the authorities can work swiftly to implement whatever crime-prevention methods Mayor Bartie is considering. In the meantime, it’s crucial for anyone with potential information to step forward. Even the smallest detail could be vital in helping to bring some justice for Linthotage and his family. My heart goes out to them, and to the community that is left reeling from this senseless act.
